I have a WD My Passport Essential. For some reason it does not backup my email. It does not matter whether Outlook is on or off. The WD Smartware version is 1.6.0.
Make sure Outlook is not running at the time of the backup

Thank you for your suggestion, but I already thought of that. It still does not backup the pst file. I use Windows 7 and Office 2010. Any other suggestion?
Well is been reported by other users that there are some issues on the latest version with that
try uninstalling and install the smartware version that comes on the drive
