My elements 640GB is like USB device not recognised on any laptop and desktop. Also it connects once in like 100 times and I have to do all my work then. Again if connected again it doesnt connect at all. I have tried different cables and all USB not recognnised trouble shooting also. Please help
Unfortunately, your WD Elements may be showing signs of degradation. I would suggest a full S.M.A.R.T. and sector diagnostic test on your unit in order to confirm the actual health status, as explained in the following link:
