I just got my new 8TB elements drive and plugged it into my USB3 port on my desktop, drive is seen and I can use it ok, however twice now the drive has just vanished from windows despite being plugged in on the power and the usb cable connected. I have 2 other external drives (another WD and a old Seagate) and neither of these drives has ever “vanished” whist in use. I was copying a large file to the new 8TB then the copy failed, I was curious as to why, it when I examined things it was because the drive was no longer visible.
Any help would be appreciated.
