DX4000 stuck initialising

Good morning,

I’ve got a client actually that has a DX4000 (6TB) that had a power cut last weekend. The unit was ok on Monday though. However since, it’s been stuck at 36.75% initializing.

The dashboard doesn’t report any obvious errors or drive failures … is it safe to power cycle?

Cheers.

You mean it is up and running, but may be slow?   If it is booted up and you can click restart, that should be fine if you do not want to wait and see what happens.  But try to never hold the power button to restart it.

Get a smart UPS for it that will shut it down when the battery gets low off power.

Do not power cycle log in with remote desktop and it is much safer to use the start button and shutdown and restart even if they are rebuilding.
