DX4000 LAN connection disabled

One of my tech’s mistakenly disabled the LAN connection when remoted in to our DX4000. How can we get this back up? It still has the name of the drive “Truman” on the LCD and we have attempted a reboot. We plugged patch cords in to both NICs, but no IP shows up on the LCD. We even worked with support to do a full factory reset, but that was to no avail. The recovery searched for the server on the network, and guess what it cannot be found. I’m at a loss, but need to be able to use it again. We don’t even need the data on there, just be able to back up other data with it. At this point, even reinstalling Server Storage 2008 would be OK, just need to know what to do. Thanks for any help.

When booting from a recovery thumb drive it should get an IP if you have a DHCP server.
First step would be to be sure you have a good download of the iso by checking the hash file

My ISO says it is version 1.7.6.21. Does that mean anything for the hash file?

You need to get this checker and run it

MD5: 32031F2454D3510D7CE2BF5891F7D25D
SHA1: EF0E132813182B2202A5FF54180C840BEE44F59E

SHA256: 6D511FC43FEFBC088E6A069397539B575AA6E81067D0A5BC81E1FEF12CDCD1B1

You say recovery did not see it. You did follow the on screen instructions, hold in the reset button 40 sec with the thumb drive in the DX. Wait till the screen says recovery started then hit next on the desktop
You should look in your DHCP server and make sure it got an ip. Computer name prob be MINIT something
disable any AV or firewall other than Microsoft on the desktop
