DX4000 Bay 1 - Can One Bay Go Bad?

I had a drive in bay one fail about 6 months ago. I replaced the drive. Then the new drive in bay 1 failed again after a short time. Now I have put 2 other new drives in that bay, all showing failure. Can the BAY go bad and indicate that drives are failing? This is too suspicious to think the drives are all bad.

It is certainly possible.

What does the SMART status say for the drives when they’re marked “Bad”?

anything is possible

Don’t know what SMART status is…

prob need to put it in a usb dock on a pc to look at it
