Duplicate data stored

I have an external ‘my passport 1TB’.  I added a SSD 128 GB to my pc last Sept.  When I did  that the my pass stored all the data I had on that and then all the data I had on the 500 GB hard drive again.  So now I have duplicate data stored.  Here is a screen shot and the highlighted line is before I added the new SSD  and then the two that follow have all the backup data but the highlighted line is I guess from before.  Anyway how do I delete the duplicate data and is that a good idea.  Is it as simple as as just hitting the delete button or…

Hi, welcome to the community.

You can tackle this 2 ways:

  1. If the data on the 500 GB hasn’t changed from the initial backup then you could remove the oldest backup and let the Smartware run using the latest backup that you set up.

  2. You can remove all of them and start over again.

I would go with the first option because is the least time consuming.
