Duplicate backups, how to clean up

WD Backup.swstor
I used the backup on D: before I fitted an additional hard disk F:. I then moved 1 TB of files onto the new F, deleting them from D:. Then I edited the backup plan to include F:. I have ended up with 3 volumes on My Passport.

  1. holding my User files from C;
  2. holding my document files, including the redundant 1TB of files, from D, and current ones from D;
  3. holding my document files, current 1TB files from F

There are 1.074TB of files on C, D, F drives backed up. There are 2.49TB files on My Passport.
How can I safely remove the 1TB redundant backup (one folder) from the My Passport D volume?

Hello cvh,

In order to clean up the additional copy of files you need to delete the files manually from the folder
WD Backup.swstor located in the root directory of the hard drive.

Open the following folders located under WD Backup.swstor .

Your computer’s name: Each computer backed up, using WD Backup will create a sub-folder by the name of that computer.
Volume: Our backup software recognizes each backed up drive as a volume.

Open the desired User folder to view the file the typical Windows directory tree:
Desktop
Documents
Music
Pictures
Videos
Favorites

This allows the user to physically view or delete backed up data .

Thank you.
I thought of doing that, but did not want to corrupt the directory listing in the History section.
