Can’t hear sound can be from a lot of reasons.
WD TV Live fully supports DTS, you can even see the logo on the actual box.
Do you get any sound from any other video? How are you receiving sound from the WD TV Live? Optical or HDMI? Are you connecting to a receiver? Verify that you are inputting fom the right channel in your receiver.
If you cannot hear any sound from this specific video:
Try selecting a different audio track by clicking Option on your remote and selecting Audio Channel. See if any other channels in there.
The video file might have been poorly ripped and the sound was not preserved.
Welcome to the forums.
Are you talking about the Live or the WD TV player? Because this forum is for the support of the Live only.
If the Live, then post the codec information for that file (you can use a program like Mediainfo).

Hi divxmania,
Welcome to the forum!
If the file has DTS audio and you’re plugging directly into your TV (no external surround audio receiver), you’ll need to set the audio output to Stereo.
If audio output is set to Digital, the TV will receive the compressed DTS signal and will not be able to decode it. This will also be a problem for older audio receivers (like mine!) that don’t decode DTS.
Hope that helps! :)

Please can people post more details than the above. This is just no adequate to look at issues. and results in a series of speculative replies due to the lack of info.
Sorry - rant over.

There’s two issues here – first, the Live will NOT pass through DTS-HD (which is what your file has). It should, however, pass through the DTS core inside, but it will NOT decode it, so you have to have a receiver at the other end that can do this.
Are you plugging the output into an Audio/Video receiver and, if so, what does the receiver say the track is that it is receiving? (You will need to switch the Live audio output to “digital” from “stereo” for this to work).
