Dropped my My Book

Unfortunately, I dropped my My Book and the case was slightly dislodged at the back. The cables came out when it dropped. When I reconnected it, I got a message that it could not be reformatted and no changes can be made to the files, but I can still access existing files.

I am using it with an iMac.

Can it be fixed or do I have to replace it?

Also, I tried emailing WD directly but what I think is product number on the sticker on the base of the product doesn’t come up.

Dropped drives are frequently physically damaged and beyond do it yourself fixes and recovery. If you intend to try professional recovery don’t try anything else.
