Im getting truly fed up with this issue, WD app thing on Win10 keeps effing up my driveletters for my two Home drives.
First of all, im the user, I payed for the computer, the drives etc, so I should get to decide what letters to assign to those drives!
One drive is running the backup and the other has my Plex content on it.
For some odd reason, the WD app allows the first drive to be mapped with the letter “X”, but then WD app a duplicate of that drive assigned with letter “Y”.
Finally my other drive shows up with the letter “Z”.
Im running with reserved IP addresses for the drives, 192.168.0.190 and 191 concurrently.
However, when I try to map the drives by IP, the first one maps fine, the second shows up with the same name as the first drive and with no files in it…that shouldnt even be possible!!!
Can someone please post me the steps I need to do to simply make one drive map as drive X and the other as drive Y every time I start my computer and also tell me how to disable “free will” of the WD app?!?
