Drive says full but isnt

EX4 16tb raid 1.

Used 4tb 4 remaining but transrers wont go through.

Keep getting drives full.

How are you copying the files? And how deep are the directories? There are times when Windows will refuse to transfer files when the total path between all folders and file names exceed 256 characters.

Tried to transfer with backup software and drag and drop but keep getting drive full.

the directories vary from 1 to 3 deep. The file names are normal.Even tried using another computer but same problem.

so you have 4x4tb drives

you are getting full message because you are using JBOD

thanks normal… you need to use expansion  to get one bigger 16 tb drive

That happened to me on jbod… but yeah i didnt read correct

Iam going to start from scratch and use raid 5.

Don’t forget to check your Recycle Bin, it might be full.
