I have the EX4 with (2) 1Tb WD Red drives installed as RAID 1. I’m using that as back up for Timemachine backup. Can I add a 500gb WD HD I have sitting here seperate from the RAID setup? I wan to use this as just a storage space for a windows laptop my wife uses.
If Yes, please help with how I should configure it.
if the drive is compatible w/ the EX4 you should be able to insert it; and create a new JBOD volume off it… I think.
other options is you could put it in a USB enclosure and connect it to the back via USB and create a share on it.
