Hi. I recently got a new desktop (Windows 8). It has a 3TB Elements drive attached to it and is set up to share with my home network. I have the computer attached to my TV as a monitor and everything works fine when the TV is on but, if the TV is off, the drive isn’t available on the network. Files that I’ve moved onto the C drive work fine but I get a message that says I may not have permission to access the content and the drive is not ready. Turn the TV on and the message goes away. Can anyone help???
Maybe the computer is going to sleep mode since is not detecting a video signal…
Check your sleep mode settings
