Hey Dude
I will suggest to install Drive Manager while connected trough USB, once installed you can continue to use with Esata.
I would not hurt to try restarting the computer in the event you want to do it with Esata, but i haven’t try that.

The Western Digital Drive Manager works best on USB drives, this is the reason it is suggested to use the USB connection while updating.
