Drive making ticking/clicking/pinging sound

WD Elements 1TB drive (P/N WDBUZG0010BBK-EB)

Hi,
When I plug my drive in Windows makes the ‘connected’ sound, and the USB symbol appears in the systray, but I cannot navigate to the drive, and it makes a ticking/clicking/pinging sound. Any ideas? Are there any diagnostics I can run?
Any help would be appreciated,
