Drive is clicking when I power up my MBW 1TB (old one with blue ring)

Hi everyone,

my old MBW 1 TB does not start anymore. I can hear the drive click every half second or so, but it does not go any further. I let it cool down over night and tried again, but same problem.

The data is very dear to me, don’t want to lose it. Could someone help?

Please check this article  I found on WD support web. 

Must likely is a faulty drive but make sure to try those steps.
