Drive Failure

Hi,

I noticed earlier when viewing the notifications there was one saying “Drive Failure” with a red ! as the symbol. Does this mean my drive is defective/need replacing or repairing or can this just happen sometimes as a one off?
I have had the drive for about 1 year 6 months, but I assumed it would last longer than this?
I did restart the device once I saw this message and haven’t had any issues since but im worried now it could fail again and loose data?
