Drive doesnt show up after going into standby

DRIVE doesnt show up after going into standby in Vista…

It is a WD Esentials drive

running Vista Ultimate

installed latest firmware update

uplugging and replugging drive doesnt help

usb 2.0

any suggestions

Check on Disk Management (right click computer > left click manage> disk management ) Also verify the drive is not locked. Try different power connection.

have tried that doesnt show up there,

could this be a problem with vista because xp comes up with no problem…

Well, then check on device manager, the drive should be showing there , uninstall. Restart the computer and then connect the drive, see if install the drivers and shows the drive. Try different usb port.
