I have the My Book World Edition II with blue rings. To my surprise I just accidentally discovered I have a drive B failure. So I have several questions this community may be able to help me with;

Why didn’t the drive tell me or indicate in some way there was a drive failure?

Have I lost data? I have the drive configured as one linear drive and I haven’t had any backup failures to failure to access files?

Is there a tool for troubleshooting the drive? Something like windows “chkdsk”?

Can I upgrade the internal drives to a larger size?
