Download from Web File viewer

Hi all,

another day and another post with yet more problems with the EX4…

This time I want to download a file from the ‘Web File Viewer’ app on my local network. I can access the dahsboard and web file viewer app but for some resaon when I select a file for downloading it only downloads 0Bytes yet I get the message that the download is complete.

Any ideas?

Starting to think I should have bought a QNAP or Synology.

Well gave up on using the Web Viewer App. Just had to enable FTP and do it that way.

Cant beleive how flakey the EX4 is. Come on WD this is not good enough

Did you try different Internet browsers while this was happening?

I have no issue downloading a large file off from the Web File Viewer.  The files are like 4GB - 8GB.  I am able to transfer those files to my external hard drive for on the road.  I am using Chrome 44.0.2403.157 on Windows 7x64.  Why can’t you grab the file using SMB protocol?
