You’re not allowed to downgrade firmware.
Although if you want to void your waranty(or something like that), we can’t stop you.
However, I’m not sure if that is a valid image file that you linked to.
EDIT: It is the source code for system compenents. I haven’t checked myself, but that usually suggests that you might have to spend some time and technical resources on getting it into workable shape.
Makes me laugh how I’m not allowed to downgrade to a lower firmware with a product that I own. With software they once wanted me to upgrade to. Oh the irony. The unit won’t perform the task I bought it for now, so voiding the warranty is the last thing on my mind. Looks like I will have to buy Qnap and transfer the data and sell the sharespece. Qnap is more expensive, but will be lower cost in the long run. ie it will work.
