Microsoft has recently said that they do not support large sector drives in Windows 7 ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2510009/en-gb)).
This appears to be the cause of my not being able to do a Windows backup which includes a system image to my new 3TB WD USB 3 drive. Windows can create a backup that does not include a system image on my WD hard drive, and can do complete backups to other internal, external and network drives.
Microsoft suggests obtaining support from the hardware vendor. Has WD provided an answer to this issue?
Why would WD apparently create a hard drive which is not fully supported by Win 7 and yet advertise that it does support Win 7?
