Does the HGST HD park automatically in a NAS when turned off?

HGST HDN 724040ALE640 4ea in a Netgear NAS.

My research has revealed more information than I ever wanted to know about HDD’s… However, no one can agree if the HGST HD parks itself when you turn off the NAS.

Does anyone know if my HGST’s park themselves when I power down the NAS. Netgear support says they’re NAS does not park the HD.
