I just bout a 1TB my book essential today and used it on one computer (running Vista). I followed prompts for installation.
I just tried to use it on another computer (they same way i would use a flash drive on other computers) running XP but it won’t open. It can see the “smartware” but doesn’t show any of the files and I can’t access them.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Is this only supposed to work on one computer? Or do i need to install programs on each computer that I use? It says I need administrative privileges to install items on this 2nd computer but I don’t think that I actually need to install anything, I just want to access my files.
