I want to connect my WD Passport 1tb into my HTS Blu-ray, but the first time I bought with default NTFS it seems doesn’t recognise with my Blu-ray player. So, I formatted it to FAT32 with the help of Acronis True Image WD Edition. I followed every instructions and it works. What I’m curious, is it okay if I formatted my WD hard drive to NTFS with Master Boot Record (MBR) as my disk initialization method partition? This is because I wanted to watch movie that have more than 4gb file size which is doesn’t let me transfer into FAT32. So, NTFS is the only option for me but I’m worried if my Blu-ray doesn’t recognised it as I did it before when I first bought the WD that already formatted as default NTFS. Hope to hear you guys suggestion.
Yes. MBR will support any drive with partitions <2TB.
