Does a wireless pro connect direct to Chromecast?

I’m thinking of buying a wireless pro for casting 4k video, but don’t know if it is okay for that purpose?

Does it connect directly to the Chromecast ultra or does it connect via my modem?

If you look at the support link in the previous reply, it seems clear that it is POSSIBLE, but is really taxing on the system (you essentially disable every optional feature to make sure all resources are available).

I have not tried to “cast” 4k video, but I have “cast” my 1080 resolution video to my original Chromecast (not even the Ultra) and it worked surprisingly well. You cast via the mobile app - Navigate the the content you want to view as normal, and the “Cast” button appears. I found this by accident but it was a great surprise.
