Do I need to open port 80 to use it remotely from WD MyCloud app?

For some reason the application stopped working, I can never access my drive outside the network.

Is it true I need to open port 80 in order to do so? If so, why could I access it before?

… only if your router doesn’t support UPnP, or if UPnP doesn’t choose a port that works for you…

well nevermind I opened port 80 like WD support suggested me to do and I still cannot connect remotely from WD MyCloud app…

Now I wonder if it is my device or WD servers.
