DnLd movies from Bell PVR?

I tried hooking up my My Book EHD to my Bell PVR to download the movies and shows I have recorded but the Bell PVR wanted to format the EHD, erasing all of my files in the process, so I decided not to proceed.  Is there a way to download the media files without losing my other files on my EHD?  Any info would be helpful.

No. Most likely your PVR uses a format that is not supported by computers, so it will need to format the computer-formatted drive to change the file system to that of the PVR, making it incompatible with your computer afterwards.
