DL4100 24T what RAID Level would you suggest?

What is the best/safest level?

There is no “safe” raid level. Raid only gives you redundancy if one or more drives fail in a certain raid level. Some raid levels give you redundancy if one drive fails and some give you redundancy if two drives fail.

But a redundant file is not a safe file. Two copies of a Malware encrypted are no better than one copy.

To be “safe” you need backups of files from earlier points in time.

So just to get redundancy you can set it up with RAID5 and hotspare oder just RAID5.
The DL Series can not be set up with RAID6.

Thus gives you no saftey for malware. Be sure to backup to external sources.
