My DL2100 fan makes a terrible sound. I’m looking for a good replacement fan. Anybody knows a replacement type?

You should replace the whole unit if it is under warranty period. Please refer to the link given below in order to know how to apply for the RMA.

What if it’s not under warranty? Is it possible to just get the fan?

Hi Myron,

As per Western Digital warranty policy we replace the whole drive. Also, we do not provide parts for the drive.
