Disk I/O freeze with SATA errors on Linux

I have recently acquired a new PC with an WD 1TB (WD1002FAEX) the system is running fine with Windows7. I have also installed Ubuntu Linux 10.10, on Linux there are very frequent I/O freezes with the following errors on the log:

Is anyone using this model without any issues with a Linux distro ?
