Disappointed in MyCloud - Streaming is heavily buffering and freezing

Yeah, so I did research, but not enough. I wanted to have a NAS that could stream media without having to have my PC running. From what I read, it seemed that with the Plex server installed on the My Cloud Home, I could do that. Videos will play a bit, stop, buffer, repeat, then eventually stop altogether. My Cloud is wired to the router, using wifi to stream to Plex app on Roku, SmartTV and/or smartphone. I have a boatload of backup storage now, but it’s disappointing. (I can smoothly stream the same media from my computer’s Plex server over the same wifi network - so the key variable here appears to be the My Cloud.). I poked around these forums a bit but didn’t find anything heartening. Thanks for any constructive suggestions.
