I usually connect my laptop via a personal hotspot on my mobile phone, since I bought an Ex2 Ultra I have burned through my phone’s 7 GB data cap in less than 10 minutes. I’m assuming this is due to WD Sync trying to back up my files, is there a way I can make sure that it auto-syncs only when connected to wifi and not via my mobile hotspot?
I ma not sure if there is such a s setting but you can pause syncing when you are connected to hotspot. Just remember to switch it back on. right click on sync icon and choose pause syncing.
Except I don’t always have that option, sometimes when I right click I can pause activity but most of the time when I right click there is no option to pause - I can only see ‘share with My Cloud’ or ‘open local My Cloud folder’ - it’s so frustrating.
OH.On MAC I always have this option whether t is working or not maybe Windows different!!!
