I am able to record TV programmes directly from my satellite set top box onto my PC.

Then I have to manually copy the recordings to the WD Live Hub.

My question is whether it is possible to record directly from my set top box to the WD Live Hub

eliminating the manual copying from the pc to the WD TV Live hub?

What I can’t understand is why is it possible to record

to a shared Windows network folder but not to

WD TV live hub using CIFS or NFS?

Copyright protections prevent directly recording to the Hub.

If you can set your device to record to a a shared windows network folder have you tried setting it to the hub disc, it is after all a network disk.
