DeskTop App or Access via WD login (needing JAVA SCRIPT)

Dear Forum

So far we have only needed to access MYCLOUD from within our own home network and it all works fine.

When we need to access MYCLOUD from elsewhere, I am a bit unsure if I do it via the DeskTop App or via the WD Login (where I previously have validated my email address). We use mainly Macs and would need to install JAVA for the latter to work.
