Deleting *.tibx files from WDEasystore/MyPassport drives

Want to re-prep a WDEasyStore 5TB drive and need to know the safest way to do this. The drive has a current .tibx file (MyEasyStore.tibx) and an older file created with a previous version of Acronis. I can delete the current file using the ATI app ‘Delete’ command but not the previous file (MyPC.tibx). I understand that deleting the file via file explorer rather than AcronisTI can cause errors when the app subsequently attempts to perform operations on backups that no longer exist.

What I’m trying to do is return the WDEasyStore 5TB drive to its pristine state so I can create a new BU for it. Any suggestions/help gratefully accepted. I’m attaching a screenshot of the current drives/files for each of the drives.

Thanks,

How old is the device you own? Do you have a User Manual or other information that came with the device?

Have you looked at the WD web site for information"

TIBX File - What is a .tibx file and how do I open it?

5TB WD EasyStore purchased Oct 2024. User manual that came w/drive? Seriously? Explored half dozen different sources looking for answer to how to remove *.tibx file that isn’t being removed by AcronisWD app. Still looking.

Thanks for the reply.
