Deleting from Disk

Hi All,

I have moved to trash items off my Passport Essential and it is not registering on the disk, can someone help me to get the disk to recognise that these files are no longer on it, thanks.

Im confused. Do you mean that you deleted some files from the external drive and they are still there?
