I was dragging a large folder from a share to the trash can (Mac OS) and it taking a long time to just delete it. I don’t know why because it need to just delete the entire folder, instead it going file one by one and deleting it - very slow. It looks like the system is talking to the WD World Edition like a local storage, can’t it send a command to it to delete the folder and the system on the NAS will do the rest?
Unfortunately the OS doesn’t include a file manager so there is no way to do it locally. This is the case on almost every modern NAS.
