Deleting Files Not Backed Up

I show an error on files that have not been backed up.  When I go to their supposed location, they do not exist. so I can not delete them. I am trying to find out how i can delete them from the error message so it does not indicate that I have files not backed up.

What program are you using to backup your files?

If using SmartWare you may uninstall/reinstall its latest version.
