Deleted all data from WD Passport Essential Windows 8 PC

Hi Guys,

Sorry if there is a similar post eslewhere but I really need your help! I have a WD Passport Essential and I backed up some files that I wanted to keep e.g. photos music etc onto my PC but I delete everything esle from my hard drive (**bleep**!!) including the WD setting/ files etc. I know this as I wanted to use it as extra data for my PS3 but it won’t recognise it at all because it is password protected as nothing comes up on the PS3. I need your help how to get past this. I tried downloading drivers to get data back onto but no luck. 10 points to the 1st person who helps me thanks!

Hello,

You can remove the security using WD Smartware. You have to download it and install it on your computer.
