Hi, I am using a my passport portable hard drive for about a year now. On the mac I selected ‘get info’ and noticed that under the general section the created date is 1st January 1970 and the modified date is 1st January 1980.
Is this a problem? Thanks.
The drive was formatted before use with exfat to be used on a mac and windows pc.
Well, if it’s a problem, it’s not with the drive as disks don’t have clocks. It is your pc that is responsible for keeping up with CTIME/MTIME info.
