So heres my conundrum, 

Does anyone know how far the warrenty goes?  I just picked up my MyBook Essential from Geek Squad, and their diagnosis is that the PCB on the internal HDD and PCB on the USB connector are both burnt.  but “There is a good possibility of data recovery”.  

So, since my drive is still under warrenty, would WD recover my data, and replace the drive for me?  How far does the warrenty go?
