the very old an outdated bootable DIAG-Disk does not like the AHCI Mode of the ICH10(R) Southbrigde and run into a simple black screen. The AHCI mode must be disabled for a successfully test of a new wd6000hlhx .
The Dlgdiag5.exe from Data Lifeguard DOS 5.04f is over 4,5 years (20.11.2005) old.
An online test with the Windows Version on an presumptively defective drive is not a really good idea…
