Data backup vs sync confusion

I’ve my cloud mirror.
Installed WD cloud App on s7edge.
I was happy the files were backing up when connected over home wifi.
But to my surprise all photos which I deleted on phone are not available in the My Cloud mirror when I check from desktop version.

I had turned on Sync in the mobile app my cloud on s7edge.
Did lose all photos I deleted on the phone?
Thanks on advance for any help.

For me it only backs up the photos on the cloud. If I delete them on the phone, they are still in the cloud (if they were synced already). I have set the sync interval to 120 minutes, and Wi-Fi sync only. From your post I can’t make out if the photos were really synchronized. You can easily check it yourself, make a random photo at home, and wait till it is synchronizes. Then delete it from your phone and check whether it’s still in the cloud. Synchronize is probably the wrong term here, it’s simply a back up.
