Dashboard un responsive MyCloud Gen2 Latest Firmware [Case Closed]

Hello, i’m running Latest firmware V 2.21.126 WD Mycloud Gen 2
And my dashboard is really slow or not responsive at all.
I get to hit login, but then it get’s un responsible.
I have to switch between phone and computer to really find to the settings page.
And i’m to affraid to hit remove all content.

I’m trying to move all content out before i can do anything in settings (if i can acess it later)
But i’m also getting disconnected on the network drives, because it times out.
And it’s steady lighting blue.

Below is some images.

When it finally goes past the empty window.

then it becomes compleatly empty, and loads REALLY slow.
Before i can acess it on my phone, but not computer.

What could cause this issue?

Couple of suggestions:
Try using a different web browser.
Turn off any add-in’s on the web browser and try again.
Perform a 40 second reset, see the followiong link for more on how to reset a My Cloud.

Done number 1 and 2, doesn’t number 3 remove all content?

No. See the link provided for more information on what My Cloud settings are reset to default when performing a 40 second reset.

Alright, will try the 80 seconds resset
40 seconds off, and then keep holding it 40 seconds with power on to.

Just follow the directions in the previous link to perform a 40 second reset. Or see below:

Option B: 40 Second Reset (Reset with Power Off)

The 40 Second Reset, also known as System Only Restore, will reset the following:

Admin User Name (default = “admin”)
Admin Password (No password by default)
Device Name (default = “WDMyCloud”)
Remove all Users except Admin
All Share permissions (default = Public)
Automatic Firmware Update (default = off)
Network Mode (default = DHCP)
Remove all Alerts
mycloud.com account association (default = not configured)
Mobile app account association (default = not configured)
WD Sync association (default = not configured)
Backup jobs (default = not configured)
Safepoint jobs (default = not configured)

To execute the 40 Second Reset:

Power down the device and remove the power cord from the device
Using a paperclip or narrow tipped pen, press and hold the reset button
While continuing to hold the reset button, reconnect the power cord to the device and continue to hold the reset button for at least 40 seconds
After releasing the reset button the device will reboot

I tried the 40 seconds.
the setup works fine, but right after that’s done, it get’s REALLY slow again.
Can’t do anything on the dashboard without it timing out.

It doesn’t get past this now.
This is all i can see, i can’t do anything else.

I’ve managed to extract all the content from my drive, so i’ve also managed to use my phone, to set up the full factory restore, i hope that fixes anything.

A full factory reset, fixed the issue.
Not sure what the problem was.
