As of today, B&H shows the whole line (6TB, 8TB and 12TB) as discontinued. Two days ago, B&H offered the 6TB (Windows formatted, but it takes less than a minute to reformat) for $250. They were sold out within a few hours. I bought one, wish I’d bought two.
Anyone know anything about the replacement (presumably Thunderbolt 3/USB-C) and when it will be introduced?
In the meantime, if you just need Thunderbolt 2 it’s probably a good idea to be on the lookout for pricing from vendors that is better than what an internet search currently shows.
