Creating a Wndows 7 Library

I recently purchased a My Book Live 3TB drive as I had run out of space on my PC.

I’ve transferred all my documents, music and photo’s to the new drive and I’ve mapped both the public and private shares. I have no problem accessing any of my files using Explorer however, I’ve been unable to create Libraries or relocate existing Libraries because windoes can not index the folders on the WD drive.


Windows Help suggests making the Network drive available offline but as that would create copies of all the documents I’ve just moved it would defeat the purpose of having the network drive in the first place.

I also have a problem accessing any of my photos via Photoshop Elements 9 as it can not see the MBL on my network or the mapped drives. This may be because they aren’t indexed.

What can I do to fix this problem?
