Create 2 partitions on My passport (NTFS and HFS)

Hello

I want create 2 partitions on my WD external hard disk (My passport 500 GO). one patition formated in NTFS and the other patition formated in HFS (MAC os x).

I’d like know if I can to do it ?

If yes, is it good for my hard disk ?

I see nothing wrong with that idea and it is possible although never heard anything bad on that situation. Does that passport have smartware? As long as its not FAT 32 I think the partition should be just fine.

You can also leave it NTFS and go to Apple and download the free NTFS-3G for the Mac and it will be able to use the NTFS partition and the files will be useable on both.
