My external hard drive crashes when I open it and have my files set to thumbnails. If I set the files to list in the folder rather than show up at thumbnails it’s fine and doesn’t crash. Is there any reason for this? Are there settings to change or a download of something that would help? I use Windows XP.
I would suggest that you contact wd tech support in order to explain in detail the issue. Ive never heard of that issue I assume you wouldnt also be able to send a screen shot . Give them a call to see if they can resolve it for you here is a link of phone numbers in your area.
